Call early with water
Water does not stay where it lands. It wicks up drywall, soaks into subfloors and settles in crawlspaces, and in a humid Carolina summer, mold can start growing within a day or two.
We clean up water damage, remove what cannot be saved and rebuild walls, floors and finishes once the structure is dry. If mold has already taken hold, we handle mold removal and remediation properly, with the affected area contained and removed, not painted over.
Then we go after the source. A lot of Triangle homes sit on crawlspaces over red clay, and those spaces hold moisture. Basement and crawlspace waterproofing keeps the next big rain from starting the whole cycle again.

How do I know if there is mold behind a wall?
A musty smell, staining, peeling paint or a wall that stays damp are the usual signs. We open it up and look before recommending anything.
Is a little mold in the bathroom an emergency?
Small surface spots on tile are usually a cleaning and ventilation issue. Mold that keeps coming back, covers a large area or grows on drywall or wood points to a moisture problem that needs fixing.
